i put a glass measuring cup with water and a half of lemon in it. I turn on the cooker for 5 minutes and then let it rest for another 10. The steam from the water and the enzymes from the lemon will loosen any junk inside there. Then just wipe clean with a sponge or paper towel.

I use a non abrasive cold oven cleaner made by Easy Off. It comes in a blue can and does not have haevy chemical smells. Spray it on and let it set for a while, then use a nylon scouring pad to clean the glass and all other surfaces inside. Do not use it on Stainless Steel, it leaves marks and splotches.....

The trick is to use cleaners that are gentle and non abrasive.

For instance, use a detergent to rub hard but clean with a soft cloth rather than something like an abrasive scourer.

Leave the detergent to soak for a while then wipe away stains and marks with warm water - this should work fine.
