1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup clear ammonia
1/4 cup baking soda
1 gallon warm water.

now, i bought a litre bottle of ammonia today but didnt know what kind was used in the solution.. and i got cloudy. can i still use it in this solution.. whats the difference between the 2 type. i vaguely remember the cluody one had soap in it which made it cloudy but i may well be making it up :)

I have an dryer and washer, the clothes come out smelling like pure gas and have been eating holes in my clothes ... I have been told I am on a coal bed methane...is there any way to remedy this? Is this harmful? Water tests were done when we bought the place a few years ago and were fine. You can take a lighter to our faucet and the water will ignite to fire. Any suggestions? This is on a private well...

Whenever I use the dishwasher, there is an awful oder coming from the disposal. I've tried lemons and oranges in the disposal but I think it's the dishwasher. Anyone have a solution. I heard about using lemon kool-aid in a empty cycle, but I just dont know since I havent heard from someone that has tried it.

I have it narrowed down to three vacuums - and would love to hear some opinions about which one to purchase. I have read reviews on various sites but would like to hear a little more before I make a decision.
1. Bissell 3920 Pet Hair Eraser Upright Vacuum
2. Bissell 3760-2 Lift-Off Revolution Pet Upright Vacuum
3. Bissell 3760-1 Lift-Off Revolution Turbo Upright Vacuum
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help!

I use tide with bleach alternative already in the bottle. I use downy with a flowerly like smell, then i wash them on the regular cycle in my washer. As soon as it is done washing, i dry them 2 times on the damp dry setting for a total of 50 minutes. I've tried changing fabric softeners, nothing helps. The clothes don't smell bad, they just smell like fabric softener, but not a good smell.

You can only smell it right next to the shirt, not from far away.

The little compartment where you put the powder has a couple of prongs in it, so I couldn't put a dishwasher tablet in there. Is it ok to just drop it in the dishwasher? I've had the dish-draws for ages but have never been game to try.. silly hey !
