I have used vinegar,baking soda to try and remove the odor and taste,my stainless steel coffee pot is clean though! I sure can use some help with this problem.

Fill with HOT water with a tab of bleach added and let sit for a couple of hours. That should do the trick for you. It is what's Chef's do to remove odor's from items.

Keep rinsing with plain HOT water. And then, leave it set open to let it air out. You should rinse about 4 times with boiling water and then let set upright without a lid to air for at least 24 hours. This should do the trick, you are right, it is clean! (Those things also clean toilet tanks and bowls!)

Now why would you go off and do a thing like that? Try lemon pledge mixed with onion.

try to use about half white vinegar and half water and let it soak then run it to heat let it drip then run fresh water

soak in bicarbinate of soda for a while then rinse
