I have an dryer and washer, the clothes come out smelling like pure gas and have been eating holes in my clothes ... I have been told I am on a coal bed methane...is there any way to remedy this? Is this harmful? Water tests were done when we bought the place a few years ago and were fine. You can take a lighter to our faucet and the water will ignite to fire. Any suggestions? It sounds like it may desire to be a vent situation. the two the vent pipe is blocked or that is too small. it will be a white plastic pipe working up the outdoors of the homestead. If the vent isn't working exact, the air has to pass out someplace & that could desire to be the grasp bathtub sink drain or the washing device's drain stand pipe. i assume it is likewise accessible that they positioned too many home equipment draining into one drain. i could verify the vent first.
