I ironed a poodle on my black skirt for a 50's day at school and some of the glue remains--it is white. I have tried soaking and scrubbing and I still have some on my skirt.

Iron On Patch Glue

Get a square of an iron on denim patch twice the size of the area where the glue is located. Put your iron on medium heat and place the patch over where there is glue. Press the iron onto the patch for about 10 seconds or until it feels like it's beginning to stick to the cloth. Peel the patch away and the glue should come right along with it.

place a moist cloth in between an iron and your your skirt the heat from the iron will heat up the glue so the cloth can soak it up . i advise putting glue on a seperate cloth before preforming such an attempt if it works than try it.

1> put the shirt on an ironing board with the glue side up.

2> put an old towel on top of the shirt, directly over top of the glue spot.

3>iron the towel over top of the glue spot.

the glue should, when liquefied by the heat, be drawn towards the iron. and subsiquently be drawn into the towel. i used to use this trick at a resort. it was used to remove candle wax from rugs.

Depending on the fabric, Goo Gone may work. You could put a brown paper bag with no writing on it over the spot and iron. Maybe you should put the poodle back on the skirt and revive that style!

You could try steaming it over the kettle to soften the glue then gently scrape it off with a dull knife. Good luck.

When this happened to me depending on the fabric, if it felt it may be permanent, but try:

Goo Gone safely removes: gum, tar, crayon, fresh paint, tree sap, oil and grease, blood, ink, asphalt, scuff marks, tape and tape residue, makeup, lipstick and mascara, adhesives, candle wax, kitchen grease, shoe polish, soap scum, bumper stickers, duct tape, bicycle chain grease.
This is the info from my bottle...
It is a dream come true...
