I have purchased a top of the line dishwasher, hoping it would reduce the need to rinse but every time I leave even a few dishes without rinsing the others come out with powdered deposits. I have used jet dry with the same results and don't want to use it any more for health reasons

We want to avoid anything that is bad for the environment. (In other words, is there a green way of whitening yellowed pillow cases! LOL)

My new (8 weeks old) Zanussi 1400 washing machine is broken.

Symptoms:-

When i turn it on it sounds like it is continually trying to "pump out". It makes no difference which cycle I put it on.

No numbers light up on the display.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I threw it in the sink with dish soap afterward, it has soaked for a while

The washer says on it not to wash or dry ( is it safe to dry?) clothing with flammable liquid on it, because of explosions..

Is there anything to neutralize this stuff so I can wash it again?

and dry, what can I do to make it wash/dry safe again...

Cause I did spill flammable liquid on it..

also, any alternatives to washing it? I don't wana throw this article of clothing away...

WILL MY MACHINE EXPLODE? Will my dryer explode? The warning says it will! HELP ME SAVE MYSELF FROM EXPLOSIONS!

If so, how badly? Just one size?

It's a cotton t-shirt I've washed and dried many times. I need it for tomorrow morning (4 am) but my dryer is broken and I don't have time to go to a laundromat.

I'm washing it in warm and rinsing it in cold, if that makes a difference.

Would I be better off hang drying it and hoping for the best?

My brother passed away in his home. We need a clean up crew to go in and clean and sanitize the home very well. he had a very contagious virus and gloves must be worn..I don't think this is something that a regular cleaning service can do. The Room where his death took place will need cleaning and there is blood involved..Who would I call to do this for me?

Yesterday we had a plumbing issue and water flooded the bathrooms and some of the water ran onto our carpets. We are renters and the landlord decided that the damage wasn't severe enough to replace the carpet.

Okay....well now it's been 24 hours and the carpet is still wet. I tried my best to soak up the water, let a fan blow on it. It is slowly but surely drying.

Is there anything I can put on the carpet to stop it from smelling? Or to help it dry quicker?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. =)

I bought some oranges and the fruit flies were free! Now they are all over the place, mainly in my bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has been cleaned, the offending oranges washed and put in the fridge. But the flies persist. They also hang out near my nighstand and I don't have any snacks there! Help!!

I have three kids so snacks are something that don't always get found the same day they were given...sorry...but that is nothing new...the fruit flies are. I have had them before and once I got rid of their home they went away but these guys are squatters. How can I get rid of them without using harsh chemicals to do it...remember...I have three kids...and 2 dogs...

OK, I like a scented candle now and then, and I can understand using an air freshener if you have a cat or dog. But lately people are using WAY too much, and it's giving me a headache...wouldn't it be easier to keep your home clean instead of trying to cover up all those nasty smells?
