I'm trying to declutter our house but my other half keeps bringing more yard sale/second-hand shop junk home and leaving it all over the place. Other than that, he's a totally PERFECT husband. :) Any suggestions on how to curb his pack rat tendencies?

Hey everybody. I'm looking for opinions on what would be the best vacuum cleaner for my family.
It's me and my husband, 3 kids, a pair of Great Danes, and I breed Great Pyrenees so when it's whelping time the girls stay in the house for a few months then too.
I'll be making a new rule when we get moved into our new house that nobody can wear shoes in the house....But with all that hair we're still going to beed a really good vacuum. It seems like no matter what brand I get, it's our vacuums die in a year or two.
I'm pretty picky about keeping a clean house. I don't mind paying a high price tag as long as it's going to survive and do a good job.
Thanks guys!

Does anyone know how to get rid of mould in a washing machine and what causes it in the first place? I've never had this problem with a washing machine before. If I bleeched it, would the bleech eat and ruin the seal?

We are going to spend money on a vaccum cleaner that actually works! So, which is better a Dyson or an Oreck? I know that models vary, but if you compared similar prices of each which is better?

I gave my 2 year old crayons that I thought would wipe off of the bath tub (they are the crayons that come with a dry erase activity mat), and now nothing will take it off. I've tried foaming bathtub cleaner, bleach, 409, sos pads, WD-40 and even an organic carpet cleaner (I was desperate). Does anyone know of a magic formula for getting something like that off? The tub we have must be extremely porous because it's as if I let her draw with permanent marker. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have never used bleach before. My whites are not so white anymore. Can you use bleach on a white shirt that has a picture on it, or do it have to be completely white?

I change my sheets every other week. Like once this week skip next ect. But when I was talking about it, everyone said I change mine every week. I think it is a waste to use energy when you really don't need too, so is washing your sheets once a week too much or not enough? And a better question, washing your sheets every other week is that even hygenic? I mean I am very hygenic so I would think it would not be a problem.

Ok, so when I first moved into my new apartment, I found 2 roaches (1 in a sink, 1 under the sink)... there was nothing in the sink bc there was no food or dishes yet in the apartment. Now I have been actively looking for the things, and their poop... every cupboard, 5 times/day morning, afternoon, night time after the lights have been off for a couple of hours... nothing. I have been extraordinarily sanitary (I even dry the sink after use).

What I did notice though was a small shelf under the sink that I didn't line had roach poop on it...i cleaned it off, and nothing ever since, and the shelves that I did line have NOTHING at all. Also it seems as though some steel wool was put around the openings in the cabinets. Now I'm not sure if we brought in a few roaches from the moving truck (I had never seen a roach or their poop before this apt) or if this apartment has had roaches before. Any ideas? If I have been actively looking and haven't seen any in days, is that good?

I dry a load of clothes either 2 or 3 times to get them dry.. why is that? Its a fairly new dryer and in great condition and I clean out the filter each time. Is there something I should be changing? Thanks for the help.
