If this just happened I would place the blood spot in cold water and rub the material together to try and get the excess off.
Now, if it's dry I would put it in cold water and try to rub out what I could then I add "Extra Strength" Spray 'n Wash on the stain AND also apply some on the opposite side of the material (even if you don't see the blood there) I'd let it soak for a few minutes then wash it in cold water.
This should take the stain out.

When I clean blood out of my clothes I use spray on Shout and rub it in and let it sit for a couple minutes. Then I put the item of clothing in the washing machine. Or I put it in a dish tub with cold water, Chlorox 2 and Wisk for colors. The stain always comes out and I can't even tell there was one there.

Hydrogen Peroxide will remove fresh blood stains (fresh meaning you haven't washed them yet). Apply some HP and scrub with brush until stain is gone. Wash immediately after treating.

What works really, really well (I know from personal experience) is Spray 'n Wash with Resolve Power.
Really soak the spot with the Spray 'n Wash, let sit for about 3 minutes, and then wash as you normally would.
Wa-lah! All out!
Oh, yeah, and this works even if the blood is dry.

It might sound crazy, but this same thing happened to me and the only way I could get it out was to use the carpet cleaner that is meant for pet stains. I think the one I used was woolite. it only takes a few minutes to get the stain out. best of luck.

My suggestion is to treat the stain with vinigar. Then take dish soap to the spot. It should come out. DO NOT DRY IT IN HEAT if not. Peroxide will take it out but has the potential to make a white stain too.
