I dry a load of clothes either 2 or 3 times to get them dry.. why is that? Its a fairly new dryer and in great condition and I clean out the filter each time. Is there something I should be changing? Thanks for the help.

Check your dryer exhaust port (the hole in the wall that you connect the dryer hose to). If it is clogged with lint or a foreign object, or if your hose is kinked and blocking air flow, then the dryer will not dry effectively. It may be clogged within the hose, and if so just remove the build up by hand. If the blockage is inside the line running through the wall and out of the roof then you will need someone to blow it out or "snake" it to remove the blockage.

Check the lint filter and do this before every load of clothes. There is a long brush that allows you to farther back to clean the lint. You may need to disconnect the hose behind the dryer and pull as much out as possible. Recently, mine had a ton of lint in there.

behind the dryer there is a metallic colored slinky thing (sorry i have no idea what its called) that attaches the dryer to the wall. Lint can build up in there and stall drying time. Just disconnect it from the dryer and pull the lint out .You could easily replace it cheaply if you preferred, under $5 at any appliance store.

Maybe ask your husband, but I can do it, look at the filter that goes from the dryer to outside, it might be clogged with lint.....

It takes a screwdriver, but it is the silver hose that goes from the dryer to outside......maybe even the outside air vent is clogged with leaves or something???

I worked in Home Depot and Lowes, I know my way around home maintenance........
