If you put alunimun foil on the surface of your ironing board and either use a spray starch or sizing or water to mist just before ironing it will help. Set the temp of your iron on linen which is pretty hot and spray liberly and press. The foil will help reflect the hot iron back up to the pants . Make sure that your ironing surface is tight and it should only take a few minutes to press pants. When he wears them it is natural for them to wrinkle . Linen is like that . Hope that this helps

Does your iron have a linen setting? I've never seen one without one. Usually it is the highest setting. If you are worried please start with lowest setting and a very clean iron. A non-stick surface is the best to look for in an iron. It is best in my experience to iron while your linen is still damp from the washer. If you starch then slightly dry the pants before ironing. Make sure to move the iron constantly while ironing so that you do not burn the linen. Some linen can be very delicate so just take it slow and on low when you start.

Here is a hint I read in Linda Cobb's book Talking Dirty with the Queen of Clean that works for me. Iron linen while it is still damp. Use a very hot iron for heavy linen and for lighter weight linen and blends, use a warm iron. I apply starch on the linen after it is pressed and completely dry using a warm iron. It helps the fabric resist wrinkling, staining and gives it body. You can also use sizing, but in either case use a light hand and the kind that come in aerosol cans for the best results.

You need an extremely hot iron and steam. As soon as he puts them on, they will start to wrinkle. That's the down side of linen.

Steam iron them the best you can but linen is what it is and that's a wrinkly fabric. Besides the first time he sits down or crosses his legs, they are wrinkled even more. I've learned to live with that.

You should probably take them to a dry cleansers. Or put a thin cotton cloth in between the iron and your pants. Good Luck!!
