my cat peed on my white sweatshirt a few days ago, and i tried to remove the stain with shout wipes, but no luck

should i try a stain stick?

if i just put it in the wash turned inside out, will that set the stain?

thanks!

Sometimes in either the laundry section or the baby section, you can buy a pretreater that contains enzymes. It's meant to help with the stains from baby spit-up, but it would help with the proteins from urine stains as well. Try that.

Try 1 cup of white Vinegar or 1/2 cup Borax added to your detergent to remove the odor. Wash on hot. Should do the trick!

Might want to figure out why the cat is peeing on your clothes so it doesn't happen again...could be a dirty litter box, or some traumatic change - a new pet in the house, new partner for you, maybe even a medical condition for the cat.

Zout is the best pretreater I've used. However, if you have a cat you MUST have Simple Solution on hand. It is formulated to remove pet stains and odor, specifically from urine. And it works. I use it for laundry, rug cleaning, everything. I have seen it in grocery stores, but all pet supply stores will have it.

you do need to pretreat. use your liquid laundry soap or spray and wash let sit while washer fills. after full add shirt let soak. use cold water so stain won't set. if stain is still there after washing do not dry in dryer go thru process again. try cleaning cat pan more often to prevent this problem in the future.

What did you give the cat to drink? Normally peepee comes off easily with just laundry soap...

Try Oxy

Make a paste of baking soda and water and spread it on there prior to washing.

Get some SprayNWash...and clean out your litter box. Usually when cats pee on things it is because their litter box is too dirty.
