I get rid of the bad odors by setting bowls of vinegar throughout the house (the vinegar absorbs the odors), and I rescent with cucumber melon or fresh linen.

Personally, I don't like most of the fragrances and sprays, so here's an inexpensive and fragrance free solution - I found the perfect product for this and know many other people that use it. It is a natural fragrance free carbon product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great and eliminates the odors and for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, pets, etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just put a couple around problem areas. Each only costs a couple of dollars. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it and Internet at customerservice@innofresh.com.
Definitely worth trying

I usually light a candle sold by Glade called fresh linen and I crack a window and dust, vacume and keep the trash taken out every day. I never leave dirty dishes overnite in the sink and give the bathtub a quick dry up with my bath towel after I am out of the shower.
PS: I also dont smoke and dont let anyone smoke in my house.

I have plug-ins in almost every outlet of my house. I also have a Freshmatic automatic sprayer in each room. I use Circle E or Yankee Candles and sometimes I use my Tide or Gain laundry detergent in a small pot of water & simmer on the stove, it makes the whole house smell clean. I also use Febreeze on all my fabric surfaces. I also have reed diffusers as well. Good luck. 2D

Febreeze. I just love that stuff. I spray it on the sheets, on clothing that I've only worn for a few hours, on my curtains, on the furniture. Such a nice clean fragrance.

Buy a huge box of Gain dryer sheets and put them in the following places.
Between your sheet and mattress, in between towels and blankets on shelves, behind couch, at the top of your mini blinds or shades, under your furniture, under your car seats also. inside shoes, I love it!
