I just bought the Swiffer Sweep + Vac and I let it charge for 24 hours the first time, like it said to. After that, I ran it until it died and plugged it back in for about 20 hours. I started using it again and it died RIGHT away! What the heck is wrong with this thing? Why won't it hold a charge? It works great for about 2 minutes. Dang!

I do pre-treat before washing but sometimes I don't realize that the stains did not come out until after I pull my daughter's clothes from the dryer. I always thought once it's been through the dryer the stain is permanent. Is this true? I am not talking about stains on whites, which can usually still be bleached out. I mean bright or multi-colored clothes? What products do you laundry experts recommend? Her clothes are almost entirely cotton.

I was thinking maybe something died in the vents? Obviously no one can tell me what it is but ideas are appreciated because it's....annoying...

I've done a pretty good job of getting rid of smoke odor from the things from my (recently deceased) mom's belongings. But.... by washing blankets, clothes etc.. that I want to keep, now my fairly new washing machine has a slight smoke odor.

I've tried running a load of towels (and empty too) with lots of bleach. I've also sprayed pine sol and let it sit awhile. I've tried several other things, but not yet Febreze.

I'm not sure but I think the odor is trapped somewhere I cannot see or reach, perhaps on something that's rubber etc..

Any suggestions?

My kitchen floor is linoleum and I try to keep it pretty clean (hard with two kids). No matter how often I mop it, we all seem to get a dirty black coating on the bottoms of our feet! I recently switched to a Swiffer Wet Jet but that doesn't seem to help with the problem.

Am I using the wrong cleaner? Is there anything that might work better for this situation?

Ok I have my final walk through for my apartment tomorrow afternoon. The base oof my shower has tons of little dots to give it the textured look. Last night I tried soft scrub twice, this stuff called the works twice, ajax twice, and the mr clean magic erasers twice and it just wont get clean. There are also hard water stains all over my sliding doors (I do not think they are glass but are a plastic type material) and there are even hard water stains on the metal! used windex and this oxy shower cleaner on the doors with poor results, I also dont know where to go to get a good scrubber brush! Bought one that was green and left little green things all over the place, and home depot didn't have anything I thought was strong enough! PLEASE HELP!!

I scrub dishes in sink, with soap, 2-3 times, with a scrubby pad or brush, rinse well, put in the dishwasher.
After the cycle runs the dishes come out, and some of them are still left with residue.

We use top-quality detergent and rinse aid. Why is there residue. I don't get it. Is our dishwasher not rinsing enough?

When another family member does the dishes(which is not very often) she gets them clean with very little effort. But when I do all the above things, they are still dirty. I just don't get it....

I live in a college dorm thats nothing like TV. It sucks. So anyway I have to share the bathrm w/2 girls, and I have to share my room w/one. Its set up in a way that if my roomate wants to use the bathrm she has to come through my portion of the room and if i want to exit the room I have to go through her side. Its quite intrusive. Anyway times when I have to take out my trash, I take out the bathrms, I take out mine and I offer to take out my roomates. No sense in all of us going outside at once if it can be done in one trip. Well Ive done this for about 2wks now. Since the other girl i share the bathrm made it a point to say that she refuses to take out the trash since she did it LAST TIME, which is a lie. I havent taken it out. Now un-surprisingly trash is building up. Im getting PO off b/c were not children, and noone should have to tell them when to take out trash. Is it unreasonable for me to let it build up? I dont feel I should maid-ing for them. Im not the friggin trash lady!

Is there a filler that can be used to seal/replace these chipped out areas?....because eventually they will start causing rust marks on your clothes.

I have a front loader washer where the clothes really never get that wet in the washer. I have used the special detergent that costs a small fortune. I have used fabric softner, but I still cannot get the mildew smell out of my towels. Finally I gave up and bleached some of my towels, but now they are discolored. I don't want all of my towels to be a funky pink color. Help!!!

I have seen these on ebay and wondered if they work on heavily stained carpets.
I want to buy a cleaner because it works out cheaper than renting them every month or so.
My 3 year old makes a right mess and no one listens to "shoes off please"
Please help, i need something good and affordable.
