You need some good old fashioned bar soap for this. (natural soap). Wash soak the trousers in cold water, remove from the water& rub the soap on. Now leave the trousers free from water and leave the soap on ,1/2 hr should be enough. Back to the cold water, give a gentle rub, rinse well. Now hang your trousers outside in the sun . The sun will do the rest of the work for you , Buy bleaching out any remaining stains the natural way & will leave your white trousers whiter than white

The supermarkets sell a small plastic jug of a whitener for yellow clothes. Its called "yellow out". It cost about $3.50.
Put 1/4 of a cup in your washing machine with your whilte linen trousers and they will come out sparkling white in your wash cycle. Read the directons on the back of the jug for more information.
I am a nurse and use this for my white uniform pants

I'd go with the Oxy too - try soaking them in a mix of that and Ace bleach. Nappysan is supposed to be very good too.

Bleach them - but they'll fall apart over this winter. Best just buy some new ones.
