Whoa!

Do NOT use acetone, fingernail polish remover, or alcohol, unless you want to STRIP THE FINISH off the wood !!
(alcohol will do less damage than the other two, but it WILL still damage the finish)

Little known fact -- most inks can be removed by two cleaners, Fantastic, or Formula 409 -- what one will not remove, usually, the other will. Spray onto the marker, and wipe off. Afterwards I would suggest using some Murphy's Oil Soap to keep the wood from drying out. WD-40 will remove marker and ink from solid surfaces... I really do not like to suggest it for use on wood, carpet or clothing, as it may stain.

Try rubbing alcohol. I hear it works well on permanent marker on counter tops. May as well try it on a wooden wall

May very well not "clean." You may have to sand lightly, then try to match the stain.

Hi, get a mr.clean magic eraser, that will take it off of anything!!!

anything with acetone should work. So if you have fingernail polish remover try it.

Maybe try white vinegar and/or baking soda scrub????
