I do not let my laundry sit in the washer for long or over night... but I am finding that the washer itself smells kind of like mildew all the time... how do I get rid of this smell?

Mold grows around my windows, and around the floors of the room around the outside walls. No matter how much I clean them up, they always grow back. How do i keep the mold from growing back?

I can't seem to make my towels come out of the laundry smelling good. I try washing them in hot water, I try different detergents, I try using fabric softener, I try drying them extra well... they always come out smelling weird, and the gross smell gets worse when they get damp again. They aren't super old... any suggestions?

I bought powder detergent and have noticed lately my black clothes come out with detergent still on them.
Of course I use very little.. (never do the the MFG suggest... Of course they want you to use 1 cup to have to buy more and more!) I add the detergent then let the water fill then put my clothes in... Do you think there is a problem with my washer? Or the USER? Or the powder laundry soap??

I'm scared to scratch it but it won't come clean of the thin layer of burnt on crap. Teenagers!

I am an at home mom... and am struggling with housework. When I was a working mom, things got done becuse they had to... I was always rushing around and most things were done. Now I have lots of time but don't know what I do with it. I am very active with my 2 1/2 year old, coloring, reading, playing... Before I realize, the day is over... I need to be more successful with housework.

Do you have a set schedule? Shortcuts or easy ways to get things done? Hired help is not an option here! LOL

It's the kind you get at Home Depot that comes on a roll and is applied with soap and water. I've tried a bunch of things but it comes off like a stubborn price tag-it leaves remenence. I tried razor blade but still only tiny peaces at a time.

I recently inherited some neat t-shirts but they are all a size or two too big for me but they are also made out of 100% cotton. Can I shrink them in the wash by washing them in hot water and then drying them on high? Or is there a better way?

I want to buy a rain coat from Aquascutum or Burberry in cream. However I know it will get dirty quickly being a pale colour and am apprehensive to pay so much for one to have to get it dry cleaned over and over. If you hand wash it do they shrink or run or is it just it ruins the 'waterproofing' effect on the jacket...........?? Please send me your advice, no silly answers thanks!

I have two microsuede couches, just your everyday Ashley Furniture set. They did come with various cleaning products, including a small bottle of microsuede cleaner and a microsuede sponge. However, I have now had them for two years, and it seems like they are ready for a more "deep" cleaning, above and beyond using the microsuede cleaner and other "spot" fixes. I'm talking something that might take all day and soak them. Is there a product I can use to safely shampoo or deep clean them, even if it is a service that I have to pay for?
