I have two microsuede couches, just your everyday Ashley Furniture set. They did come with various cleaning products, including a small bottle of microsuede cleaner and a microsuede sponge. However, I have now had them for two years, and it seems like they are ready for a more "deep" cleaning, above and beyond using the microsuede cleaner and other "spot" fixes. I'm talking something that might take all day and soak them. Is there a product I can use to safely shampoo or deep clean them, even if it is a service that I have to pay for?

I have had great success with regular dish soap and a wet/dry vacuum. I have a microsuede sofa and ottoman in my children's gameroom. You can imagine the abuse it takes from four kiddos, ages four through 16, plus their friends.

Dilute the soap in a bucket and use the sponge to apply the mixture to the fabric. Work it in gently and remove any stains. Then do the same thing with clean water on the sponge a couple of times or until you see no more soap residue when scrubbing with the sponge. Take the wet/dry vac and remove any excess water. Then allow the fabric to air dry.

Voila! Clean furniture!
