I like to use a product called Folex. It is in the cleaning aise in Wal-Mart. It works pretty good. Sometimes I mix up Dawn and warm water and use that. The best thing I use is my Hoover carpet steamer/cleaner. It works the best of anything. I used to have a Little Green Machine and that worked really well too.

I found this spray carpet cleaner made by Resolve. It is in a spray can and it's a foam. You spray it on and let it sit for a couple of minutes then wipe it up. That stuff is awesome. I have 2 kids and that is the only thing that has brought the stains out of my carpet. It even took out the old stains. I used it on my couch also and it worked there without dying it. Good Stuff.

folex.

i've been using it for years.... and no, i am
not selling it. i use it and it works.

it's amazing and easy (no steam, no vacuuming,
no other stuff... just a cloth and a couple spritzes
of this stuff and "tah dah") and it goes a long way.
it's available all over the place in most grocery
stores and hardware stores.

but just in case, here's a link to one (of many)
carpet stain removal tip sites:

good luck.
