De-Solv-it is the best stuff you can use and it is completely safe on everything. Once you have used this stuff you will always keep it on hand. It removes anything that is sticky and messy. But, you will more than likely have to wash it again.
After you spray it on the gummy residue, just take a regular butter knife and scrape it off. It will make the gum very stiff and will practically peel off with the knife.

I don't know if this will work AFTER washing and drying but you can try. Put it in the freezer for a couple hours, take it out and scrape it. Hope this helps.

Put it in the freezer and let it freeze. Then you can peel it off. If your in a hurry for it you can use ice to freeze it.
