This probably sounds like a silly question!

I've always washed all of my laundry in the coldcold water setting. When are you supposed to use the other two settings...cold and hot water?

Not that I'm a fan of cleaning or anything but there is a large amount of clutter in our apt. that needs to be removed asap. I've been asking about this for a year january 1st will be the year mark. Yesterday when I asked him to help clean he made me so frustrated by wining and complaining that I cut the experience short. Plus, he doesn't know how to put things where they belong and how to close drawers so that nothing is sticking out them shut.

I bought a sand coloured Nubuck/Stonewashed leather sofa from Thomas LLoyd a few years ago. Its now getting a bit grubby in places and I need to know how to clean it. Id like to try DIY first before calling the professionals. Any ideas anyone?

I have tons of crayons and markers, but I feel bad throwing them away, but I don't know who would want a donation of a bunch of used cryaons and markers. I also have a ton of VHS tapes of things recorded in the past, but I haven't watched any of them in at least 3 years. Should I throw them away? But what if I might need them someday? I also have old school books and notes, what should I do with them? I will probably never read them or use them again, but I would feel bad throwing them away because it feels like I would be throwing away my education. What should I do with this stuff? How do people get rid of their things without feeling guilty about it?

Does anybody know of a cleaner that you can spray in your shower every morning to prevent mildew on the caulking around the tub. I've tried a bunch of stuff. Nothing seems to work for long.

A furniture repairman told me not to use products that contain silicone such as Pledge as it is damaging to your furniture, so I tried one that doesn't contain any silicone, and I don't like it. It leaves a dull residue. I'm not sure if it was just the brand I tried, or all of these types of products. I'm tempted to go back to Pledge, but I don't want to cause damage.

I have hung them outside, used soapy hose water; put them in the bathtub (that was a mess); cleaned each slat, one at a time (cut my hands doing that); hung them over the fence outside and tried to clean them that way. Nothing has worked so far. Thanks.
