I know that bug spray works on skin, so is it the same? I am trying to remove it off an inline skate, Mission Helium H550's.

Do you really think that hotels should provide gloves to housekeepers? I mean they are clean bathrooms and soiled linen.

My laundry is telling me they must dry clean any shirt made from materials other than 100% cotton. I went to another laundry and they told me the same thing. This sounds false, as polyester and cotton/poly blend shirts have always been advertised as being wash-and-wear. The launder instruction tags on the shirts also say they can be washed. Is there some kind of conspiracy going on among dry cleaners? ;)

My washing machine broke down this week, so my wife and I had to trudge down to our local laundromat (this was actually kind of fun - we had the whole place to ourselves and we brought snacks!). We noticed that two of the machines cost extra ($3 instead of $1.50) but were labeled 'triple loaders'. My wife immediately got excited thinking she could finally clean our duvets (our machine at home is too small for them). When we looked at the insides, however, they didn't seem to be any bigger than the regular machines.

What's the difference between a regular, a double loader and a triple loader?

Our heating element just burned out in our dryer. It's about 5 years old. Would it be cheaper to have someone come fix it? I have no idea how much that might cost. Thanks!

Have you ever had your carpet dyed, and did it come out good? If dye is not needed to remove a bleach stain, what can I use?

I bought a pantsuit that I like very much, not realizing that it was 100% cotton. Every time it is laundered, it has to be ironed. Is there anything I can treat it with or maybe there's something else I can do to prevent this extra work. Any suggestions?
