Make sure you desize any new garment by washing in cold wash first. Cotton is more natural then polyester so it stretches and shrinks easily. Whereas polyester shrivels at about 80 c. Since it is mostly cotton it shouldn't shrink as the polyester will keep it from stretching. I'd make sure the water temp is about 40 - 50c.

Yes, let it almost completely dry on a drying rack and toss it into the dryer to finish the job. It'll shrink in time anyway, but you can step it up doing this. Do not use the dryer for the entire time. It'll shrink to the point that it won't fit you at all!

To avoid shrinkage, wash in cold water and hang to dry or dry on low setting.

To make your sweatshirt shrink, do it a little differently. I would follow the laundry instructions for water temp (to avoid discoloration or color fading) but dry the sweatshirt on regular setting. The drying process is what generally causes a garment to shrink.

Good luck.

Not much at all! The poly keeps it from shrinking. But you could try hot water and a hot dryer....

it will shrink if you put it in the dryer - the bad thing is - it may become to short in the body (length) or the sleeves might be to short. put it in the dryer and keep an eye on it!

Not likely, but you could try washing in hot water and drying on a high setting.

It could.....you could always wash it in hot water(I hate that though)...or just toss it in a hot dryer for a short time.

Good luck!
