Think of just how humiliated you will be when you have to meet your guests at the door with a tetnus shot, cdc contamination suit, and shovel. That should get you motivated to get things all picked up.

I hate cleaning house. But I also hate a dirty one too. Do like i do ...Close the curtains get naked Put on some dance/ Pop music and get to work and clean the bathroom last ,after you clean the tub/shower then take a nice bath or hot shower.. Before you know it, its done and your clean too!

Do it the last minute. That gives me the greatest motivation.... usually the day before guests come.

plug your ears with an ipod and sing loudly while cleaning and organizing... i did it a couple weeks ago. my house has never been cleaner and my boyfriend has never been happier. i feel more comfortable and relaxed in my surroundings now. i got rid of a ton of junk and it has been much easier to keep it this way. i am so relieved and relaxed now.. it was well worth the effort!

Have a bunch of friends over for a cleaning nite ,with pizza and drinks,it alot of fun

yes hire a cleaning lady. i do all the time and would you believe i clean houses myself.

Yes. The fact that people are coming over to your house is enough motivation if you have any normal pride. No one should have their guests sit in a dirty house.
