dry cleaning would be your best choice. if u don't want to spend the money. you can by a leather cleaner and restorer thats made for leather. after that you can use a leather protector as you need it. one brand is called snake oil. there are a lot of leather cleaners on the internet too. do not put it in the washer.

We have been seeing more and more washable suede and leather. We are a cleaner that does a lot of wet cleaning. I send all my Suede and leather to a leather specialist. Most cleaners do. There are special procedures and technique's for leather that do to the amount that we get I rather just send them out. Remember you are dealing with a skin not fabric, especially colored ones. There are not purple or burgundy cows. If the label has washing instructions you can try but even then I would recommend sending to a specialist. Call around your local cleaner as if they send there leather out or they do them in house. Be specific on what you want. Good luck

Please do not put it in the washing machine as this will ruin it. You can have it professionally cleaned which will cost about £25.00 or you can use leather care products. If the smell is very bad you should use an enzyme cleaner called Em Clean which will deoderise and also will not damage the leather. Do not use febreeze on leather (you can use it on the lining but not on the leather itself) Leather aroma will put the leather smell back in. if you clean and protect your leather jacket on a regular basis it will keep it in good condition.

It will ruin it if you put it in the washer. Carry it to the laundry or dry cleaners and let them clean it. They have special chemicals to clean it with.
