Hi
There is two ways to remove wax from carpet.
1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet.
2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed.

I would use a plain brown paper bag without any ink on it and place the brown paper over the wax and using a iron that is hot (probably around 3) and iron the brown bag. The heat from the iron will transfer the wax onto the brown bag. You will see the wax bleeding onto the paper. Take it slowly and keep moving the brown bag to a new area. You may need to do several areas of the brown bag to remove the wax but this is a safe practice I have used. If the wax has pooled and can be safely scraped off do this first. Good luck

Removing candle wax from carpet or tablecloth.
You need a hot iron and blotting paper.
Scrape as much wax off as possible.
Place the blotting paper on top of the hardened wax and place the hot iron on top of it. Move the blotting paper around to absorb the melting wax.
Carry on until it all has been removed, but being careful not to scorch the fabric underneath.

Use ice cubes to freeze it and it should break off. If that doesn't work, place a sheet of newspaper over it and then put a towel over that. Use an iron to remelt the wax.

Let it harden first. If you rub it, it will only go in deeper & you'll never get it out. When you let it harden it usually just sits on top of the carpet fibers & then you can break it up & pull out the larger pieces. Vacume the area & if there is anything left you can cut it out with scissors. I did this & you'd never tell anything happened.
