Cleaning & Laundry - November 2006

I hate clutter but yet am the master at making it. Every few months I go through my things and toss what I dont use/doesnt fit/doesnt work anymore. But how do I keep myself focused in keeping my pad clean of daily clutter such as a table hidden under paperwork, clothes on the floor and to keep myself from getting lazy about it? Im usualy good for a week but after that all the cleaning and organizing goes out the window...any ideas?

How can I be a neater person? That's not to say that I am just wretchedly slothful, I just have problems being consistent. How can I maintain a neat, organized home?

I exploded a pen in my dryer and the ink is EVERYWHERE. I work at a hair salon and someone said try hairspray, the stuff from my salon worked good but the over the counter stuff sucks. I'm thinking it's because the main ingredient is alcohol. I can't get anymore good hairspray until tomorrow and I need to dry clothes tonight!! Will rubbing alcohol work???

Does anyone have any homemade tips (recipces I guess) for getting the black off the bottom of my pans. I've tried billo pads with the stainless steel cleaner and it still doesn't get it all off. Any good ideas from mom?

i wouldnt eat my boss' cooking because she is always picking in her nose and doesnt wash her hand and she just looks plain nasty and i wouldnt eat my friends cooking because she always have dirty dishes in her sink filled with water with stuff floating in the water

You know the toys were you can squeeze the water out of? Almost every toy we have spews black bacteria type stuff out among the water. It's gross. After the kids' bath I always try to empty the toys water out so it doesn't fester there but still, everytime there is the same junk. Any simple cleaning tips on that?

I know that the best option is to hang them up to dry but I just found towels & swimsuits from my kids' last trip to the YMCA in a bag. I've tried washing with laundry soap and fabric softener as usual but there is still a slight smell.
