LOL I do that on a regular basis...
Unfortunatly your most likely going to have to take all the food out, & clean the sticky off of the packaging.
After you clear out the freezer your best bet is indeed warm water & a wash cloth. Once you get the majority of the coke residue you want to do a final wipe down with a 409 or a simply green type product to make sure you break down all the corn syrup. It would be hateful to go to all that work & then still have a tacky residue.
*Get a big plastic cup & pop open the can & pour it in the cup....even if you forget about it before it freezes completely you'll still have a frozen treat you can eat with a spoon :O)

Remove the food from the freezer and store it in a cheap Styrofoam cooler box with ice. This won't keep the food frozen unless you use dry ice, but it will slow down the defrosting. And that's what you have to do with the frozen pop inside your freezer. Prepare a bowl of very hot water, get plenty of rags (old dish towels work fine) and soak the rags in the hot water. Turn off the freezer. Now use the wet hot rags to melt and sop up the frozen pop. Change rags often, rinsing the used ones out in the sink with plenty of warm water to get the pop out of them. Continue until all the pop has been melted by the hot rags and sopped up.
Last time this happened to me it took about two hours to clean up the mess. The food won't defrost significantly in that short a time, but I would use this as an opportunity to throw away the mystery meat and whatever other outdated stuff you had in the freezer. Prepare and eat the rest as soon as possible. Partially thawed and refrozen veggies (like you find in some supermarkets) taste awful.

Oh boy- I've cleaned a few refridgerators and freezers like that.
After you get your perishable food into a cooler for safe-keeping, turn your freezer off and let it sit for a while. Then soak it with warm, soapy water or lysol and let that sit a while before you wipe it out. Depending on how big a mess you're dealing with, this might have to be repeated.
Good luck!

After we clean your freezer, come do mine. I've got cherry goo all over the place.
Take everything out and put in sink and cover it to help keep it cool. Now turn off the freezer, get out the towels, sponges rags, etc and lots and lots of hot water. Get the rags/sponges piping hot and go after the spots. You need to warm the cola up before it can be wiped up. Takes time to warm it up, but once warm, it cleans quickly. You may need to investigate the drain from the freezer to see if stuff got in there...each freezer is different, you may have to poke around to find a drain...maybe your's wond have one. Clean off the vents, watch it the metal ones are sharp. Don't forget the gasket seal, it needs wiping off. Once all clean, turn freezer control back on and go wipe off all the stuff in the sink. The cola will be liquid on them by now.

Empty out freezer and turn it up so that it's just a bit cool, but not cold enough to freeze anything. Then get a wet cloth and clean everything down. Set the temp back where it was and return frozen items.

I would take all my frozen items from the freezer and if it is also a refridgerator that food too, and put it in someone else's. Then shut off yours for a day to defrost. Then just use warm soapy water with dish detergent. You could also use a spray cleaner, but then use soapy warm water. Dry it out and start it up again. That has worked for me.

I left an unopened 2 litre foodstuff recurring coke in my freezer for about 36hrs previously i spotted it and took it out. interior a pair of hours of sitting in my sink, it exploded as loud as a gun shot. numerous sized chunks of ice flew all over the room. Dishes, alongside with knives have been thrown from the sink. So, sure, it could explode, yet perhaps not from freezing.

Use some white vinegar to wipe your freezer down. That is a good cleaner for anything. I use it in the dishwasher and my washing maching to clean it out once a month.
