Some things you will have to have drycleaned, and your homeowners insurance should cover that if you turned in a claim, also the things that you can wash you can use white vinegar in the wash water it will help cut the smoke odor. We had a house fire several years ago and I also used a product called Odo-Ban, it worked wonders on pillows and everything, you can buy the gallon jugs of it at Sams Club. Walmart also carries it but they don't carry the gallon jugs, it is really good and it smells good, the vinegar also works....Sorry to hear about your fire, hope that these two suggestions will work as well for you as they did me..

If you have insurance take them to the dry cleaners and if you don`t wash them in tide and oxiclean and rinse them in vinegar and when you put them in the dryer put a few downey or bounce sheets in each load. Good Luck to you!! Sorry about your fire!

Wash them with vinigar. That will get the smoke smell out of them. You may want to wash them again with regular soap to get the vinigar smell out of them or just let them air out for a few days.

Throw them out and buy new clothing with the insurance money.
