wondering did the maids really clean the sheets not to mention the bedspread how many bodies have slept on this bed. How many fungoid feet on the rug and in the carpet. what a thought.

If you're talking about a hotel room, all the maids do is the bare minimum in most places. I saw a news or documentary thing about it on TV awhile ago. The maids just change the pillow covers and bed spread. Nothing is really cleaned, things are just put over other things.

When we stay at a hotel room, I spray everything with a weak bleach solution (10%) in a spray bottle I bring along, with a small bottle of bleach, too.

I spray the bathroom: tub, walls, floor, toilet and seat, and sink and counter. Let dry on it's own. Forget Lysol, bleach is easier and better.

I also spray the floors in the bedroom (even a rug), it won't bleach it, just help sanitize it. Dries in a half hour. Remove the bedspread/comforter and put in a corner along with the blanket. Sheets should be clean. All this takes 5 minutes.

I think it has a lot to do with the hotel - but regardless, first thing i do is pull back the bedspread and check for wrinkled slept in sheets and hairs. you can bet that bedspreads and comforters are not washed on a regular basis so i immediately put them away and not let my child get on them.

well you can first check if there are any crumbs, hair, or dead skin in the sheet. I am all most positive that they do not clean the bed spread. figure out how old the hotel is to find about how many people stayed in the room before you. or you can ask
