I had a roommate that left dishes in the sink and on the counter for several days or more at a time. She didn't think it was that bad. I told her it was disgusting and unsanitary, and she disagreed. Funny! So give me your personal views and knowledge on why this is actually dirty and gross!

This is so gross. I don't even like talking about it but I need your help folks. I was bad and left my sink full of dirty dishes for um... let's just say it was a long time. Let's just say paper plates and cups may have been involved. Um.. anyway, now that I've cleaned up, there's this smell not unlike a toffee candle or maple syrup that greets me when I come in from outside. I'm wondering if it's the heater (which I've started to use again as it's getting cold now in So Cal), or possibly a gross cockroach infestation. Has anyone had experience with this? I know what to do (clean like mad), but is that maple syrup smell the smell of cockroaches? Bleh, please pardon me, I hope none of you were eating. Bleah.

My shower/bath has a wood framed window and I try to keep moisture off of it at all times with a plastic curtain, but mildew still builds up on it. I don't want to warp or break down its natural oils and fibers. What would be the best way to clean it?

I used nonstick cooking spray on one of my glass casserole dishes, and I accidentally got some of it on the handles of the dish. Now after being "baked on" I guess, those spots where the spray came into contact with the handles are extremely sticky and no amount of hot water and dish soap seems to get rid of it. Is there anything that will get it off? Thx!

Help! I spilled bleach on my carpet!?
I spilled bleach on my light beige carpet. It is a VERY noticable spot and live in an apartment so I'm sure they won't be happy if I can't at least mask it somehow. Is there a way I can try to get it back to it's original color (or near)?

Additional Details

i can't bleach the entire apartment and i don't trust myself to cut it out (even though it's tempting). so i went and got some RIT dye and put it on but it reacted with the bleach or something now it's too dark. i guess i'll keep shampooing it until it's lighter unless anyone has any better ideas. thanks for the help.
