A little bit of nail-polish remover works beautifully. Put it on a tissue or cloth, and use that to remove the scuff marks.

Try one of those Mr. Clean white sponges. They are amazing and remove black scuff marks on everything!

I use to use an eraser when i got scuff marks on my white tennis shoes and it worked just fine for me.
You can also try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or Goo Gone.

paint thinner, lacquer thinner, acetone will all remove it. but be gentle and only wipe in one direction with fast light swipes.

after first swipe check towel for color. if some gets pulled off be more careful and/or re polish the shoes afterwards.

these products are used on leather in cars in detail shops daily...just have to be careful of the dye.

try a pink eraser...the kind you use when writing with a pencil...there are also products you can buy in the shoe dept of most stores...payless shoes, walmart, etc. it comes in a small bottle and works really good. hope this was helpful to you.
