After a few weeks of purchasing the toilet brush is always discoloured. Is there a particular cleaner you can use? Does bleach work? How do you best administer it?

I have been living in UK over one year, and have yet to find a single family that rinse their dishes after soaping them. To me it's common sense. But I don't know how to convince them that it's necessary and hygienic. Does anyone know of any written evidence on the Internet stating that rinsing dishes is a necessary step to washing dishes?

My husband checks concrete at construction sites and comes home with concrete splatters dried on his clothes...very very messy! The soft stuff comes off but I end up throwing the clothes away before they wear out because I cannot get it out. Any suggestions?

I always keep the utensils facing up because I believe the dishwasher is better able to clean them that way. However, I've encountered a number of roomates who prefer the utensils to face down for safety reasons (especially the knives).
