Lime away is a very good product. But, you may want to add water softener pellets to your water softener if you have one. Also, white distilled vinegar works very well to cut through the deposits left on your shower door. Overall white distilled vinegar has many uses. Read the label you may be pleasantly surprised and it costs only pennies. That's the best part.

Hard water stains are mostly calcium, so a mild acid such as vinegar in water may do the trick. There are also commercial products such as "Lime Away" and "CLR" which are fantastic for getting rid of water stains.
With each of these, however, make sure that you are wearing the appropriate hand and eye protection. No point getting chemically burned while dealing with a relatively inocuous problem.

the best thing to clean the hard water is white vinegar....put some in a spray bottle, leave it for 1 or 2 minutes then brush the surface, repeat again if any residue, sometimes it take more than one spray....after the hard water spots are gone..do the same every other week to keep it spots free.

WD-40..spray it on and then wipe off. Use a bathroom cleaner afterwards to remove any of the WD-40 residue left on the door.
WD-40 is a great cleaner for a lot of stains

I've tried CLR, ScumAway and several others listed.
I found Kaboom to work the best of all of them. I recommended it to my daughter and she agrees, it works the best and doesn't require hardly any scrubbing.
I find it especially good for glass shower doors.

The Works, or another harsh toilet bowl cleaner. They will eat anything off the door. But be aware it will also take the finish of a tub if you let it sit.
