Sounds like it needs to be oiled, but I need more information....Pants, shirt, jacket. What kind of leather is it?

For regular leather (not Nubuck) - Murphy's Oil Soap - rub directly on leather (generously) let is soak for minimum of 15 minutes, then buff dry with a soft clean cloth. This will not repair leather but it will clean off mold. dirt and water spots while conditioning the leather at the same time.

Mink oil is another product that can be used but it will only condition and not clean the leather. This can usually be found at "farm and feed stores".

McGuire's makes auto leather care products, which is another good source of cleaning and conditioning solutions.

I had a teacher in high school who wore a lot of leather clothes. She told me one time that it was too expensive to take them to the cleaners each time, so she would use windex on them and then every so often she had them professionally cleaned. Now this was the shinny kind of leather, not suede.
