Once a year, I scrub down the walls. (The walls are painted plaster.) It's hard work, but is a piece of cake compared to washing the ceilings. (The ceilings are painted semi-smooth plaster, as well.)

Standing atop of a ladder, with arms extended overhead, and trying to use a handheld scrub in a circular motion is excruciating, because much of the circulation in the arms rapidly descends, resulting in swift discomfort and fatigue.

I'm not aware of many alternate ways to >>>thoroughly<<< clean a ceiling. Using a handled spongemop to reach the ceiling will work to a degree, but it's not going to be nearly as thorough as the way I wash my walls: using a spraybottle, handheld scrubbrush, and a sponge.

Naturally, the kitchen is the worst from all the cooking residues. I am rueing the task of washing it. It will be agonizing. Isn't there a less strenuous way to wash my ceilings?

I asked a question about the best thing to use to get stains out of of my toodlers clothing. This Quixtar was recommended but I cannot find it and have no idea how to find it. Anyone have any info on this? Oh! If you want to answer the stain question I am still open for ideas!

I have bunches of these little annoying flying things in my house. They are NOT fruit flies, I know how to deal with them. I do not know where these darn things are coming from and I can't get rid of them. I've tried home remedies, I've sprayed them with fly spray and they are still here. Please help if you can they are driving me crazy and I have lots of guest coming for Thanksgiving. I don't want to cook with these nasty little things in my house. I can't bomb the house I have birds and its too chilly to put them outside.

Its phenomenon. I dont know why i like to clean with no one around. I met some other people that are the same way. Could it be the satisfaction of a clean house, and enjoying it when done? Their is nothing like a moment on the couch alone after house cleaning.

I've heard you can avoid going to the cleaner's, and just do what it says above, or you can wash them in the sink. I hope you can, because I've heard cleaners cost an arm and a leg.

I'm so sick of going to do the dishes and smelling the nasty smell of bateria on my sponge that has only been used for a couple of days! I end up throwing it away and feel like I'm spending tons of money to buy new ones. Anyone know how to make them last for a while without the smell?

My two roommates (I live with a couple) are filthy pigs. Most of my friends think I am exagerrating when I tell them that my roommates do not ever clean. The filfth growing in their bathroom is disgusting, they never clean their sheets, clothes and dsicarded food and drink containers are all over the place. I have lived with them for 4 years now and recently they have hit an all time low. I have my own bedroom and bathroom which is fairly spotless (I do not want to live with anally clean people, just not disgusting slobs), and compared to my stuff, they live in a landfill. I am so embarassed to have people over for it is starting to spill out into the common areas of our apartment. What is a tacful way of telling them to clean up their crap without a fight starting?

I'm doing the dishes right now. I turned it on and heard something like metal in it and saw that a fork's end is sticking out of the sink. Can I just take it out or will it electrify me? The button is not turned on or anything, I switched it off when I heard the sound. I'm from South Africa and we don't have these, that's why I want to be sure. Thanks in advance.

This happens every time I buy a navy coat.
It does eventually fade.
I like this colour.
No matter how good the quality, or how expensive the coat, this still happens.
Is there any speedy way to get rid of the problem, as it makes shirt collars look dirty after a while.
