The best way I know how is to freeze them and then carefully chip it off. Good luck!

I would try putting the candle holders in a cold room, then use a plastic bread bag tag to scrape the wax off... any time you heat the wax, it's going to spread...

Warm up the candle holders and peel them off. I thought that taking wax would be really hard for something I was working on, but after warming it up... it was a bit 'goowe' but it worked, just get a toothpick or whatever will work best in the cracks and tiny places and just start scraping away. no metal or you will leave scratches... a toothpick works great and it's only soft wood, so no damage.

You can get a wax remover oil from Walmart that will make it break down. They sell this in the same section as the candles.

my wife soaks her candle holders in cold soapy water for a day or two and the wax falls right out of them.of course if you do this with bronze they will have to be polished, but the water will not harm them.
