Bought a new red rubber hotwater bottle from Boots the Chemists for my poorly girlfriend. She can't stand the smell of rubber and refuses to use it. I've tried filling it several times but it just stinks. Any ideas?

I've heard that stuffing the drawer with crumpled newspaper helps. Maybe a box of baking soda? I had to rewash a shirt but sweaters
are not so easily deodorized and smell like Grandpa's closet.

My husband just got a new (used) car but it smells like someone's old ashtray. He dosen't seem to really notice it but I can hardly stand to be in the car. It's a great car except for the smell. Any suggestions on how to get the odor out would be much appreciated.
