If you have not washed them yet, dump a lot of talcum powder on the spot. Let sit over night. Works like magic! Don't forget to use on silk ties,too!

If the trousers are washable, try this. Place some lighter fluid on a paper towel, then use it to dab the oil stain, allow it to dry then wash as usual

This sounds wierd but it works on grease and oil both...Spray WD-40 on the stain and scrub it in with a brush. Then pour detergent or dishwashing soap on the area where you sprayed the WD-40 and scrub that in then wash as you always do and the spot will be gone.

rub some pine oil onto the stain then wash as usual...or oxyclean

after ive tried my washing up liquid neat on the garment and then washed it. i use shampo for greasy hair which combats the oil and then i leave the wash powder to combat the mess.
