Lay a brown paper bag over the area, and use an iron (warm setting- not hot) and keep ironing the bag. The heat will melt the wax, and capillary action will suck it into the paperbag and spread it, removing it from your shirt.

Be sure to move to a clean spot on the bag every so often.

A hot steam iron and a paper towel. Place the paper towel on top of the wax and apply the hot iron on top of the paper towel. The towel should soak up the melted wax. Keep applying the iron and move the paper towel so that you're not melting the soaked up wax back onto the t-shirt. Once the towel doesn't show anymore wax on the spot you're applying heat to, you pretty much got all the wax out. There are probably other ways, or maybe a product you can buy, but I think this works pretty well.

Start by scratching off as much as you can with your fingernail or the edge of a butter knife.
Then on an ironing board, lay the t-shirt wax side down on an old piece of terry cloth, like a kitchen towel or old bath towel. Iron the back of the shirt with a medium heat iron. The wax should transfer out of your t-shirt and onto the terry cloth.
Keep an eye on it while you are working, you can always use the edge of the knife again to continue scraping as the wax softens and melts until you get it all out.

Take a paper towel (you may need to folder it over once) and place it over the wax spot on the shirt on an ironing board. Take a regular steam iron and hold it onto the paper towel until the wax liquefies again. The paper towel absorbs the hot, liquid wax. Got to be a bit careful, but this has helped me get wax off of a few pieces of clothing and out of my carpet. Don't ask how it got there...

Hope it works for you!

If the candle wax is just on the surface, put it in the freezer for 15 minutes and then you'll be able to lift if right off. If it's soaked in, you will need to soak the shirt in some candle wax remover (it is available in your local grocery store). Always check to see if the candle wax remover solution will discolor the tee shirt by applying a small amount to the inside of the hem.

You need to get a piece of brown paper like the stuff you wrap parcels in, place it over the wax and iron over it with a hot iron. Do this quite a few times and the wax will melt into the paper.
