How you get rid of the smell in your washing machine is to first run it with nothing in it and regular bleach. Then after the washing machine has cycled completely put no more than a tablespoon of pine sol in where the bleach would go. That should take care of it. If you have a front loader washing machine the smell might be because the seal was broke and you need a new drum liner.

Put clothes in machine with a bottle of white vinegar, put on 40 deg wash(do not put the bottle in) when wash has finished set at 40 deg again using detergent and softener, clothes will be as good as new. This will also clean the machine,if you used vinegar in your machine every 3 or 4 months it will also descale and stop limescale build up
