Cut up some lemons, and heat it in the microwave at full power for a few minutes. Makes it smell like wonders!
To loosen any dirt in the microwave, put a wet cloth in there and heat for a few minutes to create steam. Then simply wipe.

You can boil a few slices of lemon in some water in the microwave. If that doesn't work I have used Odorzout a zeolite product that is sole at Petsmart. I just put some in a shallow bowl in the microwave and a day later the disgusting smell was gone. Hope this helps.

After wiping the unit completely with a warm soapy solution rinse with warm water and baking soda, then leave 1/2 cup of baking soda in a shallow plate in over night. In the morning dump the baking soda and 1/2 cup vinegar in the sink (clean and refresh it too) and that should solve it. Good Luck!

That smell takes FOREVER to get out. You can try all the usual- cleaning it, microwaving vinegar, rubbing it down with baking soda and water....

Sorry. It will eventually fade over time....
