I have a house full of stuff, and am a bit of pack-rat. I need to winnow down my stuff and get ready for a rented bedroom. Which I will be sharing with my son.(50%). I'm having a hard time because I keep thinking...wait, I can use this....etc. Any tips, thought processes to help me make my move date? Yard sale is not an option btw.

I have washcloths that start to smell after being used one time. If I use the towel once in the morning to wash my face, by the time I come home, it needs to be washed because it smells like old, stale water. Any suggestions?

I'm told there's a particular way of folding them so you can put them straight on your foot .. I currently pair them on top of eachother (dorsoventrally flattened) then fold them in thirds and tuck that into the neck of the back sock [does that make sense??]. It's almost navy-style, but with a fold instead of a roll. They're neat, don't stretch the elastic and are easy to organise in the wardrobe.
I can't find this 'other' way online anywhere. If it's more efficient and still neat, I need to know about it.

I am wondering how to clean a shower that has major dirt and ground in dirt throughout. My elderly father has been using a "cleaner" in his home with some kind of wax or rubber or something that has absolutely made cleaning impossible. The dirt and hard water stains are absolutely ground in and do not come off with the household sprays I used. I went to try to help him clean up the place, and found this disaster. Clorox disinfecting wipes, Windex, and CLR did not work. There has to be something better to strip that layer off to get to the dirt underneath. Is there like a stronger acid or something cleaner I can use? He has hard water which complicates things. Any help or advice is appreciated, I'm desperate, it needs to get clean!

I have a white patent leather purse that has two small ink marks; one is regular ballpoint and the other is from a rollerball pen. I have tried toothpaste, hairspray, ajax with bleach (amazingly it didn't ruin the patina) and soap. How do I get this ink out? Do I have to rub the patina off?
