OPEN THE WINDOWS AND DOORS WHILE YOU CAN AND AS LONG AS YOU CAN. USE FEBREEZE EVERYDAY .SPRAY IT 2 OR 3 TIMES EVERY DAY.IT JUST TAKES TIME!YOU SHOULD HAVE A MOM AND BABY POSSUMS DIE INSIDE THE HOLLOW SIDES OF YOUR BATHTUB! TALK ABOUT A SMELL! AND THEY HAD FLEAS! I HAD TO MOVE OUT WITH MY NEWBORN WHILE MY HUSBAND DEPOSSUMED AND DEFLEAED MY HOME! THAT SMELL CAME BACK EVERYTIME IT RAINED FOR THE LONGEST.WE DIDN'T HAVE FEBREEZE BACK THEN!!bEST WISHES!

You may have to mask it since you can't find it sometimes it's in the wall and takes a long time for it to abate.

check near the fridge anywhere there is heat from
when they are dying they need heat.
the smell will take a few days to go

yuck! that's disgusting, maybe ther's a dead mouse somewhere or another smell that you probably mis-interpret by accident... anything's possible!
