i have a beige marble fireplace which is all dirty it has black spots on it from the fire, i have tried bleach and cif cleaner but it does not come out!!any suggestions on how to get it back clean?

Hmm, it sounds like you have tried abrasive cleaning. One other thing that some fireplace experts recommend is a cleaning with a trisodium phosphate mixture. This often does the trick for stone or brick fireplaces. However, fireplace ash and smoke are difficult to remove. If the above fails, you may want to call a chinmey sweep (you might want to call one and see if they have some other ideas).

Have you tried diluted washing up solution it is non-abrasive and designed to get rid of most stains including cleaning burnt items, not a cheap one though.

Try a magic eraser. They work for everything else!!!
