Don't get the Bissell Pro-heat. I've bought two and they both broke down within 6 mos.. Go with Hoover.

We love our Bissel Pro Heat. Weve had it for probly 6 yrs and that thing does a great job! Weve been very happy with the results we get everytime we use it. It was like 189.00, (we think) when we got it.
We DO use a shampoo from a vacuum store tho. It seems to be better than whats in the grocery stores.

We have a Bissell carpet cleaner priced at under $200, it has attachments for stairs and furniture etc. I am happy with it, easy to use too

I also have a Bex Bissell Proheat. If you check out their web site you can buy reconditioned ones with a guarantee a lot cheaper than a new one. I bought one this year it looked like new to me when it arrived and I am very pleased with it.

We have a Hoover SteamVac and it works great. I think it was about $150. and worth it.
