The manual for the welder says that it needs "a 3-Prong, 220 VAC, polarized, twistlock Power Cord Plug. NEMA configuration # L6-30 or equivalent." I have a dyer outlet that is a 4 Prong outlet. Can I install the 4 Prong Plug onto the welder and get the same results as required by the manual? If so, how do I install this to fit the 4-Pronged Plug? Will the dryer outlet work once I've installed the 4-Pronged Plug on the welder? I desparately need help!

I want to change up my bedroom. Its quite a big master with a good sized window and a walk out to a deck (a regular door, not sliding glass door) I rent so it cant be anything permanent. Currently the walls are a silver blue with a blue and chocolate brown bedding. This is my set: http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2467815&cp=1331605.1331626.1331988&parentPage=family

My bed doesnt have a head board, and although I just painted, I still feel like its kind of plain.

I like the colour scheme I have, but Im having trouble thinking of cool accessories and things to add. And as a recent graduate Im still paying student loans, so Im on a budget!

Any ideas on some DIY projects?

I've removed wallpaper and as a result some of the paint underneath has come away with the paper. The has left an uneven surface, is sanding the only way to go or will a base coat actually even the surface??

We plugged in the vacuum last night and it appeared to blow a circuit breaker. We reset all the breakers and that circuit has not and will not come back on? We tested the breaker box and it still has power on that circuit. We also checked that wall socket for any corroded wires etc. Any suggestions on things that we should check ourself before calling an electrician? I would really hate to pay $50 an hour for a simple problem!!!
Thanks!

New central heating system fitted with programable Room Thermostat, model number is TP5000i.
I am going round in circles |( and round the bend!)attempting to control my central heating via it!!
RX Receiver Box also installed.
It seems I am able to programme the Room Thermostat okay ie. the flame symbol is displayed at my programmed times, BUT I have no central heating ie . the radiators fail to come on.
The only way I am able to obtain central heating is by pressing the CH1 button on the RX Receiver Box.
I have never seen the PROG light button on the RX box illuminated.
Could it be that the Room Thermostat and the RX Receiver Box are not 'tuned' to each other?
Or is it that I am programing the Room Thermostat incorrect?
PLEASE HELP!

I had an armoir (sp?) that was brand new amish made in my bedroom and I (stupidly) put it against the floorboard heat....It was fresh wood and the heat put a big crack down the side... As for my antique china cabinet I was wondering if it would be safe to put against the heatboard....since the wood is already old and dry (my great great grandfather made it)...do you think it would crack as well? I am rearranging my dining room and there is a certain wall I really want to put it against....Thanks.....

The floater won't rise back up by itself and I can't see the reason for this. It doesn't look like anything is broken........so every time we flush we have to stand by until the tank fills up and reach in and pull the floater back up by hand.

Once or twice a year my sinks/toilets slow down and I have to have a plumber clean out my main line. The last two times they have said that because of roots in my sewer line (big pipe from house to city sewer line) there isn't much they can do.

One plumber said $3000 to replace the sewer line.

So, is there anything I can do to get rid of the roots or at least abate the problem for a year or two?

Thanks!

Do you hang your roll so that the paper hangs in the front or in the back? It bugs the heck out of me when I see the paper hanging in the back. It is just a pet-peeve of mine. It means that you have to reach underneath the roll for the paper before you can unroll and rip and it seems everywhere I go the paper is hanging in the back. Maybe they are out to get me???

Hi,

I have patches of Ice on my lawn. This could be because the lawn is retaining water in those patches and the water is frozen to Ice. Is it good for the lawn, or should i try to melt the ice.

In the spring will the lawn will have to be relaid on those patches.

thanx
Raj
