I want to change up my bedroom. Its quite a big master with a good sized window and a walk out to a deck (a regular door, not sliding glass door) I rent so it cant be anything permanent. Currently the walls are a silver blue with a blue and chocolate brown bedding. This is my set: http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2467815&cp=1331605.1331626.1331988&parentPage=family

My bed doesnt have a head board, and although I just painted, I still feel like its kind of plain.

I like the colour scheme I have, but Im having trouble thinking of cool accessories and things to add. And as a recent graduate Im still paying student loans, so Im on a budget!

Any ideas on some DIY projects?

1] buy a headboard - brass, painted metal, iron.
2] paint a 'headboard' - maybe a log 'fence' with flowers growing over it, with the blues included in it
3] curtains/drapes should match the bedding, the walls, the floor, or combo of each. Repeat colors in throw pillows for bed/chair
4] all metals in room should be same [ all brass, chrome, or copper ]
5] repeat bedding and curtain colors in small accessories - lamps/shades, vases, ornaments, flowerpot, candles/holders
6] wall art should reflect some of the colors used
7] sew a quilt in room colors, or knit an afghan in room colors

For a headboard use a length of fabric from floor to ceiling that matches your bedding. This could be a tapestry, a rug, curtains, even a sheet. Check out thrift stores for a chair and table. Buy a basic table and drape a tablecloth over it all the way to the floor. If you can sew you can make slipcovers and pillows that match your bedding by cutting them from same type of sheets. Look for accessories at off-price stores.

I've seen some padded fabric headboards, made so you can change them easily if you are in the mood for a different color. I can't remember where I found it but will try to find out.
Also, if it is your bed that is missing something, try investing in some fancy sheets. I just got some ice blue cotten sheets striped throught with a sheeny material and my bed is looking, and feeling, great!

a image on the wall by means of the television to stability out the pictures you have on the different partitions could help. i like the bedding, yet you have all your colour above the railing. in case you p.c. to maintain the white bedding (which i in my view think of is going great with the room) then i could get some pillows with the colour of your partitions to hold the colour down some. the guy made flora you have interior the pitcher and the blanket on the backside of the mattress are great yet in simple terms no longer sufficient. i could additionally placed a white knob on the top table to make it stand out somewhat greater, that's dwarfed by means of the great mattress. i'm beneficial you have many snug nights in this room, you probably did a great job!

take some fabric that matches the color of the set, wrap it around an old picture frameand hang it up as art. use the same kind of pattern for pillows. I reccomend the ones filled with beans.
