My pants shrank when I washed them. Is there any way that I can strech them out or make them longer again. Please help, I really liked these pants and I would like to wear them again. I had just bought them.

They arent jeans they are cotton pants. Lounge pants type. They were long enough before I washed them.

Wash them again in cold water. Don't dry them, but rather hang them upside-down to dry. Stretch them out while they are wet, they'll stay that way till you wash them again - Rinse Repeat. :)

Works on my cotton jogging/lounge pants!

Is the hem big enough to give you the length you need? If so, let them down and make a false hem. If they're jeans, you could always just add an edging and maybe ut it on the back pockets too so it looks planned.

The other thing is if you followed the laundering instructions and they shrank that much you could return them.

Cheap cotton from China is my guess. I am so disgusted with clothes that shrink the 1st time you wash them.

Sorry, but you cannot stretch the fabric. Oh, sometimes a knit fabric will temporarily stretch, but that is unreliable and temporary. Try to return the pants to the store that sold them to you. Always keep your receipt until you have washed the item. Otherwise you can cut them off and rehem them for cropped summer pants

I don't think so. But in the future I recommend washing and drying on the delicate cycle. esp for jeans.

I'm not sure what the stlye of the pants is but you might be able to sew panels to the bottom. but that might not be your style and might not work with this particular pair.

1] see if there is enough hem to let down, as above.
2] return with receipt, as above
3] make into capris/city shorts if all else fails
