Just asking. I prefer the Scotts because it seems to clean up better. That soft stuff just glides!

I have seen this in the decorating magazines - using fabric on the walls instead of wall paper. Fabric is applied with liquid starch and is supposed to be very easy to remove when you are tired of it, and then you can wash the fabric and use it for something else. Has anyone done this? How difficult was it?

I have some Egyptian cotton towels that I bought a while ago that were soft when I got them, but over the last year they've gotten kind of rough. Is there a brand of towels that's soft and lasts a while?

I've heard good things about Royal Velvet anyone try these? Or the Chris Madden towels?

Hello everyone! I have a bit of a problem... I'd like to build a wooden advent calender, similar to the one pictured here: http://www.thecompanystore.com/parent/Holiday+Decor/3750/AK82X/ but I'm not quite sure where to start. Let me list my problems and the tools I have and maybe someone can help me start this thing off (please note: I'm not trying to copy the exact job, since I'll be doing my paint differently... I just like the concept and would like to adapt and personalize it for my son).

*The first problem I'm having is how to exactly build the wooden grid. I can't find anything like premade in craft stores (and no plans online), so I'd assume I have to build it myself. Can you help?

*As far as dimensions go, I'm thinking 1/2" thick grid lines and 4" square wooden boxes. Does that sound too large? Should I go with 1/4" grids and 3" boxes?

Here's what I have: 10" compound miter saw, a regular-sized Dremel tool, a Skil Router, circular saw & jig saw.

Thanks a bunch!

I used oiled based paint today and didn't realize it was oil based, I thought it was just paint. Now I have it all over my hands and have no turbintine(spelling). I used mayo, it seemed to get most of it off, but I still have it stuck under my fingernails and can't get it off.

I have had this mower(4.5HP) for years and never had any serious problems with it, until a couple weeks ago. It starts up, runs perfectly for 30 sec-2 min. then just quits. If I press the primer to start the mower it recovers, but then quits again shortly after. I thought it was a clog in my carb. or fuel line, so i cleaned all that stuff out, flushed the tank, new air filter-the works-but today it ran a bit longer but ended up doing the same thing and quit on me. I was sure it was some kind of problem getting gas to the carb since the primer gets it to recover, but Im pretty sure I cleaned just about everything I can before getting into the piston. I checked/cleaned the spark plug and it had some grey buildup on it, but that made no difference. Im at a loss here, and I know it can run since it gives me a good half minute before dying. I dont really want to completely dismantle it but unless someone has an idea, my weekend will be full of little bitty motor parts. Please help!!!

ok. so i was in gym class this morning with this girl. and i was starting to sweat so i took my favorite hoodie off and put it on a chair. well someone moved it off the chair and set it on the floor. and another kid had an energy drink that he put down on the floor. and this girl accidently spilled it and thought it would be funny i guess to clean it up with my hoodie. and then she walked around the gym and told everyone laughing about it. it was soaked all day and i was freezing cold but i couldn't wear my hoodie. what should i do for revenge thats not damaging or going to get me in extreme trouble.

I recently ordered some regular packing tape and they sent me hot melt tape by accident. I called them up and they said keep it and sent me the regular tape. Does hot melt tape require special equipment? Can it be used the same way as regular packing tape?

Husband wants to hire unemployed bozo friends to do it. Roof is about 650 s.f. Also needs to address putting in a couple of vents, what to do about the old gutters, dumpster rental, permit. What would be a reasonable ball park figure. He's probably going to do this no matter what I say, would like some guidance though.

I bought this plant at Lowes, and the only thing the tag said was "designer indoor tree" or something. I have been giving it water but not a ton, I've had it in direct light, non direct light, shade and no matter what the leaves keep turning brown and dying. You can see the dead leaves in the picture. If you have any idea what kind of plant this is or how I should care for it, please help. Thanks in advance.

we just had outside temperatures of around 50 degress, but the floors of my house are ice cold. I looked under my house before and there is a little room to work with. Is it possible to install insulation up under the house to help keep out the cold weather. I can only imagine what it will be like in the dead of winter.
