No, it makes the water come out funny. I just use foil,and poke some holes in it with a needle,or toothpick. Works just fine!

No. You must have some heavy duty splashing when you turn on a faucet. They are about $2 at Home Centers or hardwares. What normally happens is people try to clean them and can't figure out how to put them back in, in order.

Yes, but not anymore. Make sure you replace them, or just buy a whole bunch of them at a time. You would never do that if you've seen the sediment that builds up on them. YUCK!
